Couponing - Giant Deals for week of 11/8

Here is what it look when I plan for a couponing trip

I'm finally getting my mojo back into couponing. I stopped a while because I was working on the THM lifestyle and i'm still going diet for the most part but my family who just need to lose weight would like something that they are used to.
So I promised my husband I would build back up our stockpile because it's dwindling. He likes to have it for emergencies and I like to have it because of my faith in their beliefs on having a stockpile.
This weeks giants deals are Great! In italics will be the THM's food. The rest of the food that my family eats like regular cereal and stuff like that.

Here is what I'm buying this week for my stockpile

24 cans of Del Monte Veggies $12
16 cans of Dole Fruit 19.04
I'm going to do 16 different transactions.
           16 coupons (.40)2 = 12.08
Total after transactions and coupons ~ $6.24

16 bags of Malt - O - Meal Cereal $16
I'm going to be doing 16 transactions.
          16 coupons (.75)2 = $24
Total after coupons and transactions ~ Free (Giant won't give money back so it'll just be free)

1 Ocean Spray cranberry sauce 1.70
In-store coupon- free Giant cranberry sauce
               Total after coupon 1.70

8 boxes of Pillsberry's brownies $10
           6 coupons (.35) only one will double = $2.45
          1 coupon ($1/2) = $1
          In-store coupon - $.30 off gas after you by 8 items = $7.50
Total after coupons and gas points -.95 (I will make $.65)

Total money spent out of my pocket is $27.20

Total money spent air to gas points is $19.80 for 66 items.
Average cost per item ~ $.30
(These are items that I know my family will eat before they expire and will be a huge help my stockpile)

Hopefully this will help both the THM dieters to find cheaper food and other people who aren't on the head and help them find cheaper. Thank you For The Mamas for your Facebook page helping me put together my stockpile buy!

Food Storage/Couponing- Giving Back

This morning I saw a post on Facebook. Someone is tight and need help with food. I have been there as a single mother (before my amazing hubby), there were day's I couldn't eat because if I did my little one wouldn't. Therefore when I hear that someone needs help, I try all I can do to help.

My morning conversation
Luckily I have my food storage and can throw together a bag or two to help the person get to the next paycheck. By using my coupons, it doesn't kill me to help out. We aren't rich, we are the poor middle class doing what we have to get bye. It makes me happy that we have our food storage just to make one persons life better is a blessing.

Couponing/Stockpile ~ How I do it on a small budget

Giant and Gas Points

This is how I stay on my $150-$200 budget a month. I combine 2 bills into one. Yes I agree $150 dollars a month isn't a lot of money. I feed a family of 2.5 (my daughter lives 1/2 here and 1/2 at her dad's).

My Stock pile 4/17/14

I don't only feed my family, I also stockpile about 3 months of food. The LDS Church tells us to have a Food Storage of 3 months of food. That way if something bad happens, you have it. I can't tell you how many time having a stock pile of food has feed my family, when an unexpected bill has come up. It is a true blessing that God has giving me to have my stockpile. Also having a stock pile means if I got 10 ketchup bottles at $.35 a piece, then I paid $3.50 for them. I have them in the basement. If I run out I can grab one from the basement and not pay full price. (which is more that $2 a piece)

My stock pile freeze are full!
Okay, now your asking me how I use two bills to equal one, and can I do it all on $150 a month. My answer is Gas Point. Hubby and I both work out of the home. I use about 10 gal of gas a week and he use like 20gal. That's 30gal at $3.63, which is around 108.6! Oh my that's a lot of money going into my tank and coming out. Well lets make the money work for me! I'm going to let my money buy my groceries before it goes in my tank! That is double use of the money, that was going to go in my tank anyway.

Giant put almost $40 in my tank for this deal (everything here was free, plus 10 yogurts)

I do not count my gas money as grocery money, because that money has to be used on products that put money back into my gas tank! I also do not say my gas is free, its not! I'm using my gas money wisely.

Giant put $20 more dollars in my tank and this stuff free!

I know Hubby and I use 30gals of gas a week, that means I need to have all my gas points every week. I will have over 3.60 a week. I do that by the stuff that is in the box for gas points. I buy only what I would use, and add it to my stock pile. I don't waste to was money or my time, therefore I don't over buy. I don't want to serve my family old stuff.
Money I used to buy my gas was used at Giant on food!
Now you might think this is hard to do, or I end up with junk. I don't.  I will post my deals if I get a chance and show you how easy it is to build a stock pie that will help my family and do it using my gas!!!

Couponing ~ Redner's Deal of the week

This week Redner's has an amazing deal on yogurt and shredded cheese!
My 1st Redner's Trip

If you buy five yogurts and use one newspaper coupon and one printed coupon from coupons.com, then use the stores yogurt coupon and Kraft cheese coupon. Your total will be $4.

This deal works out wonderful for me because my little one has yogurt every day with her lunch and cheese is always necessity for casseroles or taco salads so it's a great thing to stock up on!
Both items can be put in the freezer and will last about three months! I am going to do this whole deal three times that way I have 15 yogurts and 15 packs of cheese in my freezer.
After that I'm going to do the yogurt deal another two times. The yogurt is a money maker. So I will be adding produce to my transaction, to use that last dollar.
Hopefully before the sale is over I will have about 25 to 30 yogurts, 15 packs of cheese, four apples, and two peppers. For $12!!
You can check out this site to get more details on where to get the right coupons for the cheese  and yogurt

Are you shopping at Redner's today? What are the deals that you're looking at getting?

Goals For 2013

Personal
   1. Lose 12 lbs ~ I weight 156 and the weight I should be is 120. That means I’m 36 lbs over weight. It took me 10 years to put it on so I’m going to give myself time to let it come off! I’m going to blog about this goal by itself and have many ways to help me lose the weight!

    2. Read 24 books this year ~ there are several free books on Amazon, and the library has many books, so this one the only challenge is to have time to read them.

   3. Do 24 project~ I want to be craftier, and with Pinstert that is so easy!

   4. Learn to crochet ~ I got this awesome book that teaches you how to. I also want to make a hat glove and scarf for my whole family!

Marriage
   1. Read 2 marriage books~ I believe this helps me reset my mind and not think only about me. This makes us stronger!
   2. Have one date night a month~ It is said that date night help save marriage. I look at this way, I choose this man to spend my life with so I don’t want to forget why, or grow apart. This helps reconnected to each other.
   3. Take a weekend getaway ~ I like to celebrate our anniversary. I think it is important to remember the date and make it special. Every couple needs time to be a couple, and by taking a weekend getaway, it gives us time to leave everything at home, and just focus on us!
  4. Do something special for Hubby once a month ~ it doesn’t have to be big, just something for him to know that I’m always thinking of him and I love him!

Child

   1. Read 12 books together~ I love this age because she and I can find books we both like and read then and discuss them.

   2. Have one movie night a month~ whether we go to the movies or rent one, just have popcorn and fun family time!

   3. Have one game night a month~ where we sit down turn everything else off and have fun together!

   4. Help her learn to shot her bow better ~ Hubby set up a range in the yard so we just have to practice.

Business/blog
   1. Have all books done the each month~ This is one of my goals that I’m going to have trouble with, because it have hard time sitting down and make time to do business work.
   2. Get 2,000 views on my blog.
   3. Make 2 posts a day on my blog
   4. Make 3 posts a day on my Facebook account.

Gardening Goals For 2013
 1.    Get more Chicks- Sell their eggs to make back the feed money!
  2.    Grow 1,000 lbs. of food- I want to be able to say my garden with feed me and my family! I watch a blogger grow 2,000 lbs. so it is doable, but I think 1,000 for this year because I’m a weekend gardener! (I’ll be posting about this!)
3.    Get Bees- Hubby and I have talked about bees and the benefits to have them. Their honey, beeswax, and they will pollinate the garden. Honey bees are a struggling to live because of people killing them with pesticides but we need them to take care of our plants and flowers!
4.    Plant more Trees- I’m going to get 2 peach trees from my aunt, I put away $100 for 2 orange trees, and a pear. I’m also going to join the Arbor Foundation and get 10 trees for $10.
5.    Plant a new fruit- I have told hubby that I want different types of fruit bushes around the house. Fruit is so expensive, and if I can provide my family with flirt it is less money in the end I pay for! Last year I put in two blueberry bushes. This year I would like to put in 2 pink lemonade bushes. That gives me 5 blueberry bushes; I think that would be enough for my little one.

Organization
   1. Have a visitor Friendly Home~ I want have a clean home; I’m so sick of being worried about what someone would think if they just stopped over. I’m not saving a spotless house, but not so messy. I’ll be posting my weekly cleaning schedule, within the next few days!
   2. Use the house Binder~ this will help me be more organized.
   3. Keep up coupons binder~ this will help me look for the coupons I need faster and help me keep using coupons.
   4. Use the food Chart~ House Binder I have a list of the foods I have in my home, this way I can plan dinners with what I have. Also will help me plan meals with what is in the home, and help coupon because I know what I need to buy.
Financial
   1. Pay off 3 creditors ~ I would love to say get out of debt, but it took me 10 years to get where we are so it’s going to take me time to get where I want to be.
   2. Only spend $150 a month on groceries~ this one is doable, but will be hard. Come follow me and see how low you can get your grocery bill!
   3. Have $1000 in savings, this is going to be hard because we don’t have any saving and we need to have money to put aside, which will be hard to do.
   4. Only pay cash~ I don’t want to be in more debt, so it I have the cash it will be easy not to over spend. I will buy gift cards to use for gas, so I don’t have to bring 1-4 kids in to pay in cash. It just too much work for me.

These are my goals, I will break them down weekly, and then break them down to daily goes! Join me though out the year to watch me reach my goals!
