Daily goals ~ Satuday, August 17th, 2013

You didn't hear from my yesterday. I went shopping. I scored awesome giant deals, I got juice boxes free after gas points and I paying $1 for 10 yogurts after store sale and coupon. I have been making out great! I'm going to head to the church and donate some of the stuff we got.

Today's Goals

2.Couponing ~ Hubby and I are going to head to the store one last time to get yogurt at 10 for $1. I can't beat that price and because Cass and I love having yogurt daily I want to stock up.
3. Gardening~ Hubby said I can plant peas up the lattice in front of the house. I want to get the peas planted. I would love to work on the lattice next week.
4. Gardening ~ plant winter wheat, in garden box one. It will be my Green Compost, before I plant my fall harvest.
5. Gardening~ Harvest my onions

I have knocked out a lot already this morning. I have started was, wrote letter to Bishop, paid bills. on time to have fun!

Gardening - Green compost

My Winter Rye 5lbs -$2.50
I have been reading a lot about Green Compost. First question, I  had was what is green compost? Green Compost is plants that you go after you havest in your garden. You plant them to add more nutrients into soil. Yoy can plant it and then pull it and mix it in the soil.
Second question, why do I need it? I use regular compost and rotate my crops. More I read more and more about it. This is away to boost your soil before you plant the next crop in it. This sound very helpful for fall crops. Plus it only take 3 week and then you can turn it and plant new plants.
Here is what I'm going to do in my garden. I bough winter rye. I'm going to plant it in my garden bed. Then plant the new seedling in transplant pots. After three weeks, I'm to add fresh compost and turns he green compost in the box. That way everything is mix up and ready for the new transplant!

Gardening - cuttings

Yesterday, I tried to to make plants by  cutting. Cuttings are about couple inches off the plant he wants to grow, then into the dirt and hope they grow. You can add root powder to help the roots ground, but I have never seen a difference so I skip that step. I took off all the leaves except for top two leaves. Then put them in the dirt. I will keep the dirt moisted. I don't do well with cutting they normal die on me. I hoping that these won't. I have pineapple sage, rosemary, and lavender. I'll keep you up dated!

Wedding Wednesday - Guest List

This is the hardest part I think about planning the wedding; who gets invited? I have a big family on my dad's side alone I have 16 cousins and they are adults, so you have their plus ones. Alone that is 32 people. Now I want a small wedding, But I found out the hard way that we will probably have close to 100 people at to our wedding. We invited all our family and a few friends. We talked it over and our biggest worry was cost with this many people. We decided that we want to have people that are important to us at the wedding and will figure out the cost later.

After talking to both mothers, we came up with 88 people to be invited to the wedding. I can't wait for our wedding. How did you come up with your guest list?  Did you feel like you had to cut several people?

Cleaning- Morning Cleaning Schedule

Being a working mom and a nanny makes my house work suffer at home. I work and clean all day at work, Therefore when I come home I don't want to do anymore. To be truly honest, I just want to go home and crash after working 10 hours and driving two hours I'm just beat.

I started to pray and figure out what to do with my home life because it is so crazy, messy, and unorganized. It is driving me nuts. I had to be honest, I need help to keep the house clean. Then had to think, I get home at 7-7:20 and we eat dinner around 7:30pm. At 8pm how much time will I be able to give and ask my family to help me with? I decide I would ask for 30 minutes.

Now thinking wash takes 60 minutes, that isn't going to work. I also decided that in the morning, I could give  up 30 minutes to clean up too.

Here is my new morning cleaning routine
5:30am - Hang up the laundry outside, throw wash that was on the line into the dryer to fluffy, new wash in the washer.
5:40am - wash morning dishes and any late night dishes put away yesterday's dishes
5:50am - wipe down sink, counter, and set table for dinner
5:50am - make our bed

Doing chores in the morning will give me time at night to focus on one room to clean. This routine also give me time before I have to leave to feed the pets, walk the dog, blog and eat breakfast, before work.

What do you do in the morning?

Daily Goals- Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Workout - P90x Challenge

After last night, I decided I needed to lose weight. The reason being I found a pair capris, that I bought last year and they didn't fit. I know that I'm gaining weight and I want to start to get back into shape. With three weddings coming up, mine, my best friend, and my little brothers in being in all them. I want to be the in the best shape that I possibly can.
I decided that I want to start P90X program tonight. This should give me a chance to get home, eat dinner,do some gardening or cleaning, and then have time to work out. Now I know you're thinking working out at night is not always the best idea that, but there is no way I can get up an hour earlier to work out in the morning. I am not going to stick with the meal plan because I cook for not only my family but also my bosses. But I'm going to look it over and see if there some recipes that I can use.
I'm going to try this by taking a Weekly picture,a weekly measurement, weighing myself weekly. I am also going to make a daily journal of my exercise for the week and how it's making me feel and if I feel better or worse. Then you guys will see my weekly progress once a week.

Saving Seeds - Zucchini Researching How to Save Seeds

Mmm freshly grown Zucchini
This is goal is to save my seeds so next years garden isn't costly. Hubby and I discussed over the winter that we would buy non-GMO seeds save them throughout the year. This will provide our family with a low costing organic, healthy, and non-GMO. We found this awesome site that had the seeds we wanted, you can check out the site here 55 Variety Non-GMO Heirloom Emergency Survival Garden Seed Bank. I have one huge problem! I don't know how to save seeds and never done it before.

While looking up ways to save zucchini seed I came across this awesome video. This video is really informative and I'm so thankful that this gentleman took the time to make this video for us to watch. While watching this video I found out that you do not have to ferment the zucchini seeds.

Thank you eHow for the picture

Then I searched the web for some website to help me confirm the new knowledge that I found . I went to one of my favorite sites eHow And found the article How to Save Zucchini Seeds. Linda Mitchell Has a well-written article about saving zucchini seeds. The best part about this article is it tells you how to know which zucchinis to save the seeds from.

I love watching them grow

Now that I've done on my research savings Zucchini seeds not seem to be that hard. This weekend I am going to make my seed saving tray and then start to save my Zucchini seeds! Are you saving seeds this year? If so what kind?

2. Art Class- today the little ones have art class! Then weare going to go on a picnic. I think today is a prefect park day! - We had a great time at library! - We meet up with friends. Then we head to the park for a great day! The kids loved the picinc and play time.
3. Cleaning- post new clean routine and work on cleaning our room. - I got some of the room picked up and cleaned. A little at a time until it is the way I want the house to be!
4. Stay awake- last night I was up 3 times with the baby. It's harder than I remember. - ok having a baby full is harder then I remember, coffee is my best friend again! He is so cute though. As of now I can't wait to have one of my own again!
5. Reading - read the rest of "Accidental Farmer" - the baby didn't take a good afternoon nap, so I didn't get any time to read.

The pears are now facing down

I have a busy day and hoping to get a few minutes at nap to have time to work on blogging. What are you doing today?
