Monday December 31, 2012 - Daily Goals
Today
is the last day of the year; I love knowing a new year is coming with new goals
coming! I can say to you, I have my last load of wash in the dryer for the
year! I love New Year’s because it’s a new being for so many things. This year
was one for the books, I have an amazing job were I got prepaid so I could buy
my new car! I found out the court system suck and don't care about the past, only
the present, when I was fighting for custody of my daughter (10 year of her
live I was the primary parent, but dad decide he want to be a father and gets
50/50 ugh). I watch my daughter start to figure out who she is and what she
stands for. Hubby and I have gotten closer, and enjoy our time alone (never had
it before). I got my chicks! Worked in my garden and made a wonderful new
friend, who has become one of my best. I got to say hi to my newest nephew. I started
blogging and a Facebook page on garden. Meet back up withhold an old friend and
decided I can’t figure out why we stop talking and love that we have so much in
common. I can look at this year and say I broke even. Hoping that next year
treats us a little better, and letting this year go the good and the bad moving
on to next year with wishful eyes and an open heart! I know God has a plan and
everything happens for a reason. Having the best people in my life that back me
up, so here is to the New Year!!
Onion
trick did not work, Cass ended up with the stomach bug that her friend had this
weekend! It seems to have a 3 day period. Therefore I’m looking to get sick on
Thursday night. At least I’m off on Friday. Anyone have any ideas how to get
rid of it fast?
Today Goals!
1. Clean the Living-room, and stick to the cleaning routine for the week. (I will post more about this in another post!)
2. Pay bills- Ugh I hate this one you see your money come in and then see it go out!!
3. Run errands- Go to the gym, Cvs, Rite Aid and post office.
4. Read 50 pg of Family Feast for $75 a month.
5. Set Goals for 2013.
How
did you do on you goals from yesterday? I got 4/5 done today! Making goals
means setting a limited for what you want to get done and working toward it. I
did finish the basement and start to take inventory of my stock pile. I also
did all my running plus we picked up a pellet gun for my daughter to start to
learn on. Cass did want to play outside yesterday, and her and her stepfather had
a blast on the quads! We did finish our project. Came out quit good, for the
first sewing project either of us have done. Worked on my books, and tried to
be organized about that. What are your goals for the day? Anything fun?

Onion
trick seem to work for my daughter. She felt a lot better around one. Hubby
asked me to take it out of our bedroom; he would rather get sick then smell,
like a hoagie. He had a point. I don’t think Cass could smell so it didn’t get
to her. Nothing special today just hang out and clan the house today!
Today Goals!
1. Clean the Office is today project! It is a mess hubby leaves him military stuff on the guest bed.
2. Work on clean the basement – I want to clean in fount of the washer, take out the trash, and wipe down washer and dryer.
3. Run errands- I have to run to giant and grab 4 newspapers. I might stop and see my brother today too. Oh return Red Box movies!
4. Then maybe time allowing we might make the craft. She might decide to spend her time playing on the quad with her stepfather, which is fine it is her weekend. I have everything we need, but if she doesn’t want to; we can hold off.
5. Work on Business books- Close one customer’s account for the year.
How
did you do on you goals from yesterday? I got 3/5 done. I got the house clean;
it took longer than I wanted. I bought everything that belonged in the basement
back down and start to clean it up. Cass decided she want was feeling better
and wanted to play in the snow, she spent most of her time at her friend’s
house and outside. I did help hubby with the quad, and he got them both up and running.
Neighbors most have loved it at 8:30-9:30pm they both were final up and working
so both my daughter and hubby took a ride. I end up just watching movie and
then off to bed. Working for 5/5 today! What are your goals for the day?
Anything fun?

It
is snowing! I love looking at snow, but I don’t like anything else about it!
Cass isn’t feeling well, so it is herbal tea, with honey, cinnamon and Echinacea.
Hoping we can stop the cold fast and she doesn’t have to have drug store medicine.
If she needs it, yes I will give it to her, but she has no fever or anything
other than a stuffy nose. We are also trying the onion trick; it is where you
cut open an onion and leave it in the house or next to the sick person. It is
believe to suck up all the cold germs in the house. This is my first time
trying it. I have only read about it. My daughter came home and asked for it
because it is what her stepmother does. I will to try anything to keep the
medicine she takes low. Here to trying.
Today Goals!
1. Clean the house, and spray it down with tea tree oil. ~ Tea tree only is oil that can be mixed with water and used like Lysol. I like this better, because it doesn’t have the strong smell Lysol has and doesn’t have the chemicals in it. It is all natural. Now I only use this when people are sick in the home. I believe some germs are good for our bodies and make us stronger and healthier. I stand by this belief because my family get about 1-2 colds a year.
2. Work on clean the basement – Our basement got trashes these last few months, between taking out Holiday stuff and clean up all the kitchen extras (popcorn maker, bread machine, etc. – you name it and I have it in my basement and use it). Hubby and I want to work on picking it up.
3. Run errands- We want to go to kohl’s, I need meat bags and have $10 off coupon, with15 percent off too. We also need to grab a battery for my daughter quad, her and hubby want to play on them in the snow. Then The Dollar Tree, for healthy junk food snacks- crackers and pretzels for the week.
4. Then maybe time allowing and Cass feeling better, we might make the craft. I have everything we need, but if she not feeling well we can hold off.
5. Work on Business books- Close one customer’s account for the year.
How did you do on you goals from yesterday? I got 4/5 done. Working for 5/5 today! What are your goals for the day? Anything fun?

Movie Night- Edible City
We
couldn't watch any of our movies out of the Redbox, because they didn't have
what we wanted. Therefore I found a document online. (thanks to One Hundred Dollars a Month)
This
movie make you think about all the good gardening in communities can do. We
garden to cut our grocery bill down. Can you imagine not having a grocery store
more than 20 minutes away, and not have any access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
This movement is awesome!! There is so much information in here, think about if
our communities had this, how much better it would be!
Friday~ December 28, 2012 Goals
Today
I slept in. Hubby is off tonight and I want to be able to spend some time with
him! He did bring me home a nice cup of Wawa Coffee! MMMmmm I'm so blessed to
have an amazing man! It is 39* out but feels nice! Maybe get outside and get
some outside work done before the snow comes tonight.
Today Goals!

2. Work on household chores - Dishes, bathroom
3. Weed -Garden Box 3 leave chicken out while I'm outside
4. Run errands- We want to go to Zerns and have to look at a generator Hubby found for only $75. (We have decide that with the meat we have in the house we want a generator, therefore if we lose power we won't lose our meats)

Gardening~ 18 Weeks Before My Last Frost - Weekly Goals Wrap up
This
week I can say I did most of my goals this week!
1. Make your own germinating mix- This one I'm working on. I'm not in a rush because I have 42 peat pellet seeds. I do though already start to get what I need for my mix. I have water storing Crystals, my friends picking up 2 bags of peat mix, and I also price Organic Miracle Grow potting mix. It is going to cost me like $25, for everything, but should give me more than enough to do most of my transplants. (I'll post about it when I do it)
2. Order
Asparagus, and rhubarb crowns- I bought my asparagus roots, and I saw some
wonderful bulbs and I couldn't help but by them! I got daffodils because they
are my favorite. My whole driveway box is filled with daffodil bulbs; I
thinking for the military boxes. I got the Tulips bulbs for my hubby in memory
of his grand mom. Hubby loved the iris so he grabbed them, but don't know where
we are going to put them.
3. Plant
Herbs - Parsley and thyme- I was so excite to start this goal! It was the first
thing I did on the goal list. This was the funniest goal. I planted 24 seeds of
each plant but I'm not expecting them all to grow, because the seeds are
between 1-2 years old. Exciting news is that the Thyme started to grow already!
4. Plant -
Leek and sweet Spanish onion seeds- I planted 24 of each seed, hoping that at
least on comes up in each pellet. Happy to say they did start to come up! I
also worked on adding them to my Seed Journal on the computer. It is get having
a journal to go back and see what I have going on.
How did
you do with your weekly Goals? Did you get them done? Did you have fun planting
your first seed for the 2013 garden?
