Daily Goals ~ Monday, December 16th, 2013

Wow, I can't believe this year is almost over! A few more day's and it will be over. Today is a 1/2 day at work, which is nice because I have a lot to get do around the house. This weekend, I got lost in my gardening plans.

Today's Goals
  1. Work ~ I work 9-2 today. This works great, because the little one has preschool, therefore the baby and I have time to shop to get there Christmas gifts for the parents, Don't know what I'm doing yet, but it should be fun.
  2. Clean up ~ My little one won't clean her room, so hubby and I cleaned it. Great idea right? Take the stuff she has on the floor and out of place and make her earn it back. Yeah one question with that, where do I put her stuff?
  3. Christmas~ Tonight  want to get the decorations up. We haven't done much around the house because we didn't have the little one to help.
  4. Cooking ~ Today starts the 7 days of cookies! Everyday from now until next Monday I want to make a different type of cookies. I love making Cookies because this gives us something little to give. This year we are very tight on money little gift to give to people is a huge help.
  5. Workout ~ I want to hit the gym today. This way I get there!
What do you have planned today?

Gardening - Planning Gardening Box 1 for 2014

My Garden Pro App layout!
This garden box will be Carrot garden box. I always seem to have a lot of trouble growing carrots I can't quite figure out why. But they never seem to grow longer than my thumb. But I will keep trying until I can figure out what I'm doing wrong I wonder if my clay soil just is not right for them yet and in time they will grow bigger. But I did try to plant them in a pot last year and that didn't work either. I guess it's give-and-take and see what works.
This year I'm going to plant them in the box followed my potatoes were in last year. Hopefully the potatoes broke up the soil enough to give the carrots room to grow. I am also going to try to plant them earlier. I'm hoping that I will be able to get them into the soil by no later than April 4th. Then I am going to plant two rows a week for a month. This way they should have more than enough time to be harvest by this fall. This also makes my harvest dates different so I don't have to harvest them all at once.
I am also looking at companions for the carrots. Companion planting is normally the best way to go because it helps you can't different varieties of plants altogether one area. Companion planting also helps you learn what will help your plant grow better. The companion plants that I found that should work well with my carrots are cherry tomatoes and leeks.

Gardening tips- Gardening App

I'm not one to promote an app that I do not love. I was sitting on my bed planning my garden. Whhen I said to hubby, looking at my horrible gardening drawing, "He should make an app, that I can plan my gardens my away and add the plants I want. That there has to be many plants not just 100." He told me there was! It is called Garden Plan Pro.

App view in the app store
This app is awesome. Yes, it is cost, but it has everything. It keeps the base of your garden plan in the app. It reminds you of crop rotations and annual plants, you have in your garden. You can add your seeds and change the information to match you seeds. It also tells you when to plant you seeds.

My garden layouts!
If you are really into gardening I would suggest you to download this app I love it!

Wedding Wednesday- Changing Bridesmaid

You know you're going to read this person think I'm being a bridezilla. I have put a lot of thought into this. One of my bridesmaid has seen to be a huge issue for me and making every tiny little thing I plan, about my wedding a huge problem.
I'm not going to use this post to complain or bad mouth somebody I have 5 good reasons for changing my bridesmaid. I understand that this might cause a problem because the bridesmaid is my future sister-in-law, but I can't take her drama in my wedding any longer.
I am very excited though about the bridesmaid that's going to take her spot! She's a wonderful person that I've known for the last 18 years. She is so excited to help me start planning my wedding and know what's going on with it! I can't wait to have somebody that really wants to help plan the wedding enjoy this time of my life with me.
I understand that this might cause a lot of drama and might have some effects that I don't want to deal with. After my hubby and I have spoken about this this is the best way for us to continue our wedding plans.
I also feel like I can do this because my wedding is over a year away, the bridesmaid has not bought the dress went to look at dresses with me or has helped with any of the wedding plans. I guess we will see how this turns out.
Have you ever had to get rid of a bridesmaid? If so how did you do it?
