Gardening Tip - Save Your Seed Catalogs

While I was reading my Week-by-Week Vegetable Gardener’s Handbook, I came along a great tip. They said to safe you seed catalogs.

1.There is a lot of useful information in it.
2. To look at what I order and if I'm having an issue I can call the company. There were times when my plants came in dead or died. Most companies have a year guarantee, and I use them. (Make sure you read everything with the guarantee, because sometimes you have to save the bag it came in too.) I normal circle what I order with a black marker, so I know what I have.
3. I also save them to plan my next year garden. The reason why safe them. I circle what I would plan grow next year and that way I have an idea how much money I need to save.
4. Another idea is to cut out the plants I want an put a picture to what I planing on growing. It helps to see what I plan on using.

Do you have any reasons why to save your save your catalogs?

Daily Goals- February 4, 2013

This morning was a busy morning! I had to start the fire, feed the chicks, cat and dog, switch the wash, unload hubby's soda from the car, get all the meat hubby bought on Thursday together, and bags to bag the meat, get dinner together, and get dressed for work in a hour. But it was all done and I made it to work on time!

Here are my goals for the day.
1. Work
2. Little man has library class, and I have to return a library book
3. Bag meat during naptime, hubby decide he wanted steak, and being him he was to get milk at the store he came back with $80 in meats. I could have killed him he doesn't understand budget. He just though he wanted steak and bought it. Even though we had some in the freezer!
4. Make dinner- I am making chicken parm for me and Mac and cheese for my boss.
5. Work on my bussiness and blog- I have to handout the paperwork tomorrow for my bosses taxes and I want to get the blog up and where it should be!

I want to do as much as I can during naptime and then knock everything else out tonight. What are your goals for the day?

Gardening Tip- make a list

This tip is great for all types of gardener, but will really help the new ones! I got the tip from the last book I Flawless Gardens! How To Create the Perfect Organic Garden From Scratch in Less Than 7 Days
. It says to make a list of what you want in your garden.
This tip is awesome because it is so easy (I do it all the time) to go into and see all the seeds and buy way more then you need. Then you don't have room for all them. Now this is still the hardest thing for me to do. I have to look at my seeds before I go so I remember all the seeds I have, and not over buy. I do have a list and it helps a lot!

Hope this tip helps you! Do you have any tips? Let me know what they are!
