                    My Book

Week-by-Week Vegetable Gardener’s Handbook is still helping thoughout the week to say on base with my gardens. Week 9 are filled with many goals. I'm going to pick a few goals out an work on them this week. I'm also going to add some of my own goals too!

Weekly Gardening Goals
1. Raspberries - harvest them. They are in season now, taste so good just picked off the vine.
2. Cucumber - I have two goals with them this week, one is to reroute them. I also want to check on them and make sure they don't have striped cucumber beetles on them.
3. Peas - it is time to pull out spring peas. Clean up area and plant some broccoli and kohlrabi in it place for fall harvest.
4. Carrots - harvest same amount of carrots. I also want to start planting fall carrot seeds.
5. Potatoes- harvest some new potatoes and keeping a eye out for Colorado Potato Beetles

What are you doing in the garden this week? Let me know.

  1. I can really harvest potatoes and carrots already? This year is the first time I have grown both, and it is just my trial and error year!

    1. Yes, I am going to harvest both, not all of them. The ones that are harvest will be little, but enough to feed my little one. Carrots are a great size to cut up and put on salads and potatoes should be small, but great to half and bake like that. I keep planting carrot seeds thoughout the summer, about every 3 weeks. That way I have them growing. How is your gardening coming?
